Chieveley-based The Merry Kitchen is offering a regular Friday home cooked takeaway to residents from its base on the High Street.

For the last time for a little while the Merry Kitchen Friday feast menu is ready to go. We’re going big, we’re going Spring, we’re going slow cooked and we’re going very “Merry Kitchen style”. This menu is perfect for your Friday night feast or for your Mother’s Day lunch extravaganza! (Please note you gotta supply your own flowers!)

Menu for Friday 12 March

  • Slow cooked spring lamb with ratatouille sauce and salsa verde dressing and roasted new potato salad. Serves 2, £26
  • 24 hr pulled pork, with a Smokey paprika sauce, topped with roasted chorizo and peppers, and with roasted new potato salad. Serves 2, £26
  • Roasted Mediterranean peppers with salsa verde dressing and a roasted new potato salad. (Vegan). Serves 2, £20.

We will be continuing with our weekly village market stall, but we are taking a break from our weekly feasts as events slowly start to return. We are hugely grateful to our locals for supporting us through a challenging and difficult time and we do hope we can cater for your events and celebrations as soon as we are allowed!!! 

Orders by email to by 9pm Wednesday for COVID-safe delivery/collection from Marymead House (on the High Street) on Friday 4-6pm, or from Chieveley market on Saturday mornings (9.30am-12 noon) at the village hall.  Please give full address on email and inform us if you are in isolation and require delivery.

Meals provided in foil trays with reheating instructions.

We use and support local suppliers - Beedon eggs, Vicars Game, Fishers Veg.

All food is prepared in an isolated commercial kitchen in our home and will only be prepped/cooked by myself.
