Chieveley-based The Merry Kitchen is offering a regular Friday home cooked takeaway to residents from its base on the High Street.

It’s The Merry Kitchen slow roast feast week, the perfect feast for a snowy January. A fab hearty Friday dinner or an easy family Sunday roast!

Menu for Friday 29 January

  • 24 hour slow roasted pork shoulder; cooked 'till it pulls apart and covered with a smokey paprika sauce, serves 2, £14
  • Braised beef brisket; slow cooked 'till it melts in the mouth with a thyme gravy, serves 2, £14
  • Root vege gratin; roasted root veg slowly baked with cream and garlic-a vege main course or side dish, serves 2, £10

Orders by email to themerrykitchen@hotmail.co.uk, by 9pm Wednesday for delivery/collection from Marymead House (on the High Street) on Friday 4-6pm, or collect at Chieveley Village Market on Saturday morning (at the village hall).  Please give full address on email and inform us if you are in isolation and require delivery.

Meals provided in foil trays with reheating instructions. All dishes can be frozen.

We use and support local suppliers - Beedon eggs, Vicars Game, Fishers Veg.

All food is prepared in an isolated commercial kitchen in our home and will only be prepped/cooked by myself.
