Medicines for Muheza
This charity has been supported by our community for over 25 years. Our annual service to raise funds will be held at St Mary’s, Chieveley, on Sunday 17 October 2021 at 11.00am.
It has been a difficult year in Tanzania, as everywhere, but here is some good news - see photo of Edgar, who we support to work at the Hospice at St Augustine's in Muheza, receiving his Covid vaccination, as part of a drive to vaccinate all healthcare workers.
In recent years, Drs Karilyn and Richard Collins have showed films about the incredible work going on out in Muheza. They have, for obvious reasons, not been able to visit this year but will be coming to give us the latest news.
We didn't quite hit our target of £5,500 last year but did reach over £5,000, with gift aid, which is really brilliant considering the year it was! I so hope we will be able to do at least the same this year when the work is actively changing and saving so many lives there, where they have very limited resources.
If you are unable to attend the service, but would still like to donate, donations can be made by cash or cheque (payable to Medicines for Muheza) or standing order. If you do the latter, please let me know so that I can make sure we claim any gift aid where appropriate. The details:
