MyChieveley has had an upgrade!

The community website for Chieveley has been refurbished over the last few months and has relaunched with a host of new features, including;

  • A fresh, modern design
  • Mobile and tablet friendly format
  • Search and map features
  • Home page slider to showcase important news and events
  • Flexibility to easily add new features in the future

Commenting on the upgrade, editor Andrew Singleton says;

"This much needed upgrade brings the website up to date and opens up a new world of opportunity for the future. In particular the site now automatically adjusts to suit the device being used by our audience. Since 50% of all visitors use a  mobile phone to visit the site this is an important new feature.

I must thank Chieveley Parish Council for their continuing support for the website. Their financial contribution to the upgrade and ongoing hosting costs is much appreciated. It is a partnership that I feel works well for both parties and for the community as a whole. I am particularly indebted to Rob Crispin, Mark McGuire and Tracy Snook for their support and assistance.

And of course I am continually grateful to the MyChievely audience, everyone who uses the site. When we launched in 2005 the website was visited 500 times a month. Now we regularly receive over 20,000 monthly visits, which is just amazing!

We intend to expand the MyChieveley team over the coming months, not only to take advantage of all the new features but also to make better use of social media and other communication channels to keep our fabulous community informed and involved."
