Medicines for Muheza

PDF version of this update (with pictures) available here.

Our annual service to raise funds for this charity that has been supported by our community for around 30 years, will be held at St Mary’s, Chieveley, on Sunday 15 October 2023 at 11:00am.

In recent years, Drs Karilyn and Richard Collins have showed films about the incredible work going on out in Muheza. They will be coming in October to give us the latest news and the story about this young boy here and Edgar, who we support as well as offering fabulous African fabrics (kangas) as a fundraiser for Muheza!

Edgar and child Fabrics

We didn't quite hit our target of £5500 last year but we were not far off, which is really brilliant. I so hope we will be able to do the same again this year when the work is actively changing and saving so many lives there, with very limited resources.

We are supporting Muheza via the Hereford Muheza Link Society, which is a registered charity, number 1086887. Karilyn Collins is a trustee.

We so hope you will continue to contribute to this very valuable work. There are no administration costs and everything you give will go straight to Muheza. Chieveley's annual collection, in recent years, has raised enough to pay Edgar Ngelangela's salary (pictured above), the Hospice Administrator and social worker, and has contributed to many other projects over the last three decades.

If you are unable to attend the service, but would still like to donate, donations can be made or standing orders set up:
