Everyone who attended the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations in Chieveley will agree that they were a great success. The events were very well attended by young and old alike, and struck the right notes in bringing our community back together again after the pandemic.

A huge thanks to all who helped organise each event, so many people contributed in so many different ways. Who will forget the atmospheric lighting of the beacon with a piper playing as the fuse was lit. Or the colourfully decorated tables at the Party in the Park, with their Platinum Trifle centrepieces. Or indeed the grimaces and smiles of the tug-of-war teams as they battled for bragging rights. The family history trail and the floral and village history exhibits in the church made a gentler but no less enjoyable contribution to the whole programme.

A gallery of pictures has been assembled here on MyChieveley to record all the events we enjoyed so much. Click on any picture to start the slideshow. Photo credits to Julia, Will and Simon.
