A message to the community from SSEN (Scottish and Southern Electricity Network)
You may have noticed us working in your local area over the last couple of months. The reason being is we completed a survey of the high voltage electricity network feeding your parish and identified refurbishment works needed in order to ensure we are able to continue to provide a save and reliable supply of electricity. These works represent an investment of £339,000 in the local infrastructure.
In order for our staff to safely complete these works it was necessary to organise some Planned Supply Interruptions. Residents were notified in advance. Any outages were planned to ensure residents were without power for the shortest time necessary in order to reduce any potential inconvenience.
The work involved refurbishment and replacement of the network, as appropriate, which will help us to improve the reliability of our service to you for the future. The safety of our customers and staff is at the heart of what we do, and we would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
If you feel you are in need to special support during power outages please read this pack of information and register for the SSEN Priority Service as per instructions.
