The Chieveley Community Christmas Card for 2020 has been launched and is available for signing in the village shop by the till.
The idea behind the community Christmas card is to send your season’s greetings to friends and neighbours in the village by signing the card. Then pop the money saved on sending them a card into the envelope for our chosen charity, which this year will once again be RECOVERY IN MIND– a charity supporting the mental health recovery of adults living in West Berkshire aged 18 and over who have a wide variety of mental health challenges. In this most difficult and different year greetings from friends will mean an awful lot for anyone popping into the shop to see. So even if you do send cards locally please also take some time to sign the community card too.
This year we will also not be able to organise our charity stroll due to the current Covid 19 restrictions so are suggesting people may like to do their own challenge instead and donate to this year’s good cause by dropping into the shop and signing the card. (Don’t forget to take your own pen and use the hand sanitiser provided! Please also take care with social distancing in the shop while signing).
All those that sign will have their Christmas wishes placed on the www.mychieveley.co.uk website and the amount raised will be advised in January.
Happy Christmas and stay safe and well everyone!
