Following the departure from the village of the previous Coordinator of the Chieveley Oil Club no names have been forthcoming to succeed in this role.
When the Chieveley Oil Club started 16 years ago it was one of very few local buying groups in the country. Since then many groups have set up and flourished.
The time has come to wind up the Chieveley Oil club and for members to individually join other groups. One obvious advantage is that the larger the group the more buying power it can create, and therefore usually the cheaper the oil. One group that offers this is www.oil-club.co.uk, though others are available.
Thank you and 250 others for your support over the years, and especially to the coordinators who have run the club so well in that time.
