The 2024 Chieveley 50 finished in mid February and organisers Gill Vaughan and Julia Hoaen have issued this update and thank you message.
Thank you to all who walked and talked as part of the Chieveley 50 this year and for all the donations on the justgiving site to raise vital funds for West Berks Foodbank.
Together we have raised a wonderful £755 for them so far (www.justgiving.com/page/chieveley50). This was duly tea and toasted/toasted at the end of the morning and evening walks.
Thank you also to Helen Singleton who organised the village Christmas card, which raised a further £77 for the same charity.
The award for most walks went to Helen who did more than 50, by sometimes doing both morning and evening walks on the same day. Well done, and of course well done to all who took part and we hope you enjoyed it.
The morning walks carry on throughout the year at 9am on weekdays in term time for anyone who wants to join them.
