Prior's Court School was opened in 1999 thanks to generous funding from Dame Stephanie Shirley. The school is a not-for-profit charity and most pupils are funded by local authorities and social services.
Prior's Court Cottages
Prior's Court is currently converting a row of cottages, fronting on to Prior's Court Road into housing and flats for 18 young adults. The intention is to provide a transition step towards a more inclusive life for adults with autism aged 18-25. The cottages and adjoining facilities will create a calm, structured environment able to support individuals to develop their skills in real life settings.
The first phase of the development will open in September 2011.

There is a multi-disciplinary team responsible for all aspects of students' education, care and development. This team includes teachers, therapists, clinical psychologists, residential team leaders and support workers in both education and residential departments.
